Hello, I’m Alec Hooben, proud owner of Whippany Boxing.  As a seasoned boxing instructor specializing in training kids, witnessing their growth firsthand is incredibly rewarding.  Yet, beyond the boxing skills acquired, the true essence lies in the lifelong personal skills they develop.  Boxing transcends mere punches; it’s a journey that fosters confidence, discipline, character, focus, and respect.

In each class we conduct, your kids aren’t just enhancing their physical prowess; they’re growing in mind, body, and character.  Boxing provides immediate positive feedback. By honing core moves, they cultivate discipline and respect, experiencing a tangible difference that fuels the building of confidence, self-awareness, and self-respect.

Whippany Boxing gives teens everything they need to grow into adulthood with grace and clarity. By treating themselves and others with dignity, they’ll discover the benefits of discipline and how it can help them to achieve their goals.

Teens & Preteens classes!

We’re excited to offer a new supplementary class for students ages 12-16, designed to help ease the transition from youth classes to our adult program.

These sessions will follow a structure similar to our adult classes, giving teens and preteens the opportunity to gradually acclimate to the expectations and format of adult training.

This class will meet once per week to start, with plans to expand to three times per week in the fall. It’s a great option for students to attend alongside their regular youth (ages 8-13) or adult (14+) classes.

My teenage son started training here at the adult class a few months ago. We started him primarily for fitness, but this is not a cardio boxing style gym, it’s a legit boxing gym that knows how to cater to the individual needs of the members in a group class. There is a good mix of ability and skill levels in the classes, everything from guys at a competitive level, people just staring out and folks on a fitness/weight loss journey. No egos and a great atmosphere.
